Long Meg and Her Daughters (Cumbria)

At 109m by 93m this is one of the largest circles in the British Isles. Long Meg (the outlier) stands 3.7m in height. The remains of a wide bank runs around the stones possibly classifying this site as a circle-henge.

Access: A road leading to a farm passes through the circle!

Portal stones mark the SW entrance leading to the outlier Long Meg.

The sixth largest stone circle consists of 70 porphylitic boulders.
