This is believed to be a concentric circle of locally obtained limestone. The obvious inner circle is 8m in diameter.
OS Map Ref: SD292739
Access: Visible from the road crossing Birkrigg Common. (Technically in Lancashire, but you’ll have to go through Cumbria to get to it.)

The 2 tallest stones of the inner ring (1.2m high) are at the SW.

5 cremations were discovered in a pit within this inner circle.

The outer ring of low stones (hidden amongst the bracken) is 27m in diameter.
