To quote Don McLean from the song Amercan Pie: “A long, long time ago…”
I was interested in the phenomenom of stone circles and henges. I visited a few and took some pictures. Those were the days of film cameras and the only way to get a digital image was to scan your photographs into your computer, which I did. Then I visited a few more, took a few more photgraphs and decided to put them on a website. Those were the days of kilobytes rather than gigabytes.
Then life got busy with life, the website expired and I stopped going on my little excursions.
As 2021 drew to a close, I stumbled on an old USB drive that turned out to be in perfectly good working order, and yes, there was my old website with its low-res pictures and totally dead links.
This then, is going to be my attempt at porting that old site to a modern platform and, hopefully, adding to it. Even, maybe, revisiting some sites.
Essentially a gallery of photographs with possibly a few comments, which I believed to be true at the time, but which archeology may now say different. Enjoy.
