A circle of 11 small granite stones and a tall standing stone form part of the Merrival neolithic complex that is well worth spending some time over.
OS Map Ref: SX553746
Access: Just south of the B3357 that crosses Dartmoor. There’s even a very convenient car park.

This flattened ring has diameters 21m by 18m. None of the stones exceed 0.5m in height. However, the standing stone outside the circle, although slender, stands over 3m in height.

The western terminal stones of an avenue (aligned E-W) of length 264m and width less than 1m.

Approximately half way along the avenue is a small circle, less than 4m in diameter, of 7 stones enclosing a despoiled barrow.
